Background
Between 2008 and 2010 the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) was responsible for investing over £2.3 billion in capital projects, and for promoting a further £4 billion of estate development by colleges, schools and other FE providers.
Brief
Design a look and feel for the ‘building colleges for the future’ programme. This set out how the LSC were investing in the FE and skills sector to drive economic growth and social mobility.
Solution
A multi-coloured building block motif combined with black and white photography gave the series of publications a distinct look and feel. The series culminated in the RIBA sponsored Further Education Design Excellence Awards 2010.
